banner recap

4 books/novels (1 book DNF-ed), 1 short story, 4 comic book trade paperbacks, 17 movies.

This month I read Stephen King for the first time ever. I was blown away by The Green Mile (feel free to check my review) and disappointed by The Shining. So the jury’s still out on whether I like the guy’s writing or not. I was so taken with The Green Mile that I ended up buying a couple more of his books, so I have some material ready for future exploration.
After reading The Assassin’s Apprentice two months ago and feeling kind of meh about it, I was surprised at how much I liked the sequel Royal Assassin. So now I’m excited to read the final book in the series!
